Installation

LEXISV.EXE will run under MS Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51 or Windows NT 4.00. It doesn't require any special installation procedures, and you can even run it from the floppy drive. To shorten the time needed for reading files you can copy all files from the diskette to your hard disk (usually C:). All files must be located in the same directory.
Using the MS DOS prompt, the installation looks like this:

1) Copy all files from a: to C:\LEXISV (a different directory name is possible) with the following DOS commands:
C:\>md C:\LEXISV

C:\>copy a:\*.* C:\LEXISV

In Windows 3.1:

2) Select FILE|NEW in the Program Manager.
3) Set PROGRAM ITEM and click OK.
4) Input DESCRIPTION Lexis Map Viewer
COMMAND LINE C:\LEXISV\LEXISV.EXE
5) Click OK
6) To run LEXISV.EXE, double click on icon.

In Windows 95/Windows NT:

2) Start | Settings | Taskbar | Start Menu Programs | Add
3) C:\LEXISV\LEXISV.EXE

To run the program from the floppy disk:
1) Click Start button
2) Choose Run
3) Type in the dialog: a:\lexisv
4) Press Enter
