In our team, biologists are prevalent. This is quite unusual for a team working in demographic research, but for our research topic it is very important, because much of the data we are working with come from publications in the life sciences. The head of the laboratory is James W. Vaupel, director of the MPIDR, and the coordinator of research is Alexander Scheuerlein, a life history biologist. For many projects, the team works closely with the Max Planck Research Group “Modeling the Evolution of Aging.”Max Planck Research Group “Modeling the Evolution of Aging”.
