Methodological Issues in Mortality Research and Biodemography

Trifon Missov, James W. Vaupel, Adam Lenart, László Németh, Filipe Ribeiro

The project focuses on methodological issues in mortality (implications of mortality plateaus, characterization of model-based life expectancies, model estimation of mortality surfaces, goodness-of-fit tests for the Gompertz distribution) and biodemography (optimal life strategies for semelparous species, the Strehler-Mildvan correlation in evolutionary perspective).Detailed description
