Our research questions are interdisciplinary, and so is our team. Our researchers have a wide range scientific backgrounds, in fields such as demography, mathematics, epidemiology, and anthropology. The group is led by the Institute’s director, James W. Vaupel, and the acting deputy head, Jutta Gampe. We frequently offer attractive research opportunities at the pre- and postdoctoral levels.
