What life expectancy does to equality

Women outlive men in almost all countries. The genders are converging but some differences will remain, says MPIDR-researcher Anna Oksuzyan in an article on www.sueddeutsche.de  about her research.

Anna Oksuzyan comes from Armenia. She has been trained as a medical doctor and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health. She arrived at the MPIDR in 2003 to participate in the research program offered by the International Max Planck Research School of Demography. She completed her PhD in 2010 at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense. From 2013 to 2014, she was Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Biodemography at said university. Since February 2015, she has been heading  the Max Planck Research Group Gender Gaps in Health and Survival at the MPIDR.
