Social and Spatial Distance in the Fertility Transition
Sebastian Klüsener (Federal Institute for Population Research, Wiesbaden, Deutschland); in Zusammenarbeit mit Martin Dribe (Lund University, Schweden), Francesco Scalone (University of Bologna, Italien), Joshua R. Goldstein (University of California, Berkeley, Vereinigte Staaten)
The fertility transition was characterized by substantial social-class and spatial variation in terms of both the onset and the intensity of the fertility decline. We explore the determinants of this variation in order to improve our understanding of how social change is moderated by social and spatial distance. Ausführliche Beschreibung
