Student Assistant

The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research is seeking a

Student Assistant

for the Research Group Labor Demography. The candidate should have a background in demography, economics, sociology, or a related field. Experience with software package LaTex is desired. A good command of English is essential.

The tasks include

  • Literature search and compilation of summaries/ overviews of scientific literature
  • Data handling and data management incl. converting data into charts and graphics;
  • Statistical analysis;
  • Preparatory work for scientific presentations and articles

The successful candidate can ideally start on October 1, 2020. The first contract runs over 6 months with the possibility for a prolongation. The number of working hours is max. 40 hours per month. More information on the work of the institute is available at
