Student Assistants

The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research is seeking 

Student Assistants

for the Laboratory of Fertility & Well-Being and the Laboratory of Population Health. The call is open to students of all disciplines and levels. Experience with statistical software (e.g., Excel, STATA, R) is highly desirable, and a good command of English is essential.

The tasks include:

  • Literature search;
  • Compilation of demographic data;
  • Management and construction of databases;
  • Secondary data analysis;
  • Organizational support.

The successful candidates will start working as soon as possible. The initial contract is for 6 months with the possibility of an extension. The number of working hours is max. 8 hours per week. More information on the work of the Institute is available at
