In this role she will, over the next five years, strengthen demographic research at JKU and will foster collaboration across disciplines as well as between research institutions.

„Demographic change is a major challenge for many societies and I am pleased that methodological contributions are seen as an essential tool to understand and ultimately meet those challenges. So this is an exciting opportunity and I am very happy to devote my expertise to this undertaking“, says Jutta Gampe who will continue to head the Laboratory of Statistical Demography at the MPIDR.
