Abstract

"Lexis is a graphic program designed to help you create publication-quality contour maps with ease. This software mainly addresses the need for visualization tools in demographic research arising from the analysis of demographic events on the Lexis diagram. However, it is not limited to this area of applications and can be used as a general tool for the visualization of large matrices… This program is named after the German demographer Wilhelm Lexis, who 1975 suggested describing the life course of individuals with the Lexis diagram…" (EXCERPT)
