Abstract

The Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine triggered a significant refugee crisis, displacing millions of people both within the country and across borders. To address the challenge of tracking these mass movements, an interactive dashboard was developed to consolidate migration data from multiple sources. The primary aim was to create a centralized, user-friendly platform that offers real-time insights into refugee flows, supporting policymakers and humanitarian organizations. Built using PostgreSQL for data storage, Node.js for server-side processing, and D3.js for interactive visualizations, the dashboard allows users to filter migration data by country, period, and demographics. The results demonstrate its effectiveness in visualizing migration trends and aiding resource allocation and policy decisions. With scalability and real-time updates, the tool is useful for the current crisis caused by the Russian war in Ukraine and applicable to public health, disaster management, and migration studies.
