Production, distribution and insecurity of food: a dynamic framework

Abstract
We study the impact of food distribution on the steady-state portion of food-insecure people in a stationary population. By applying a descriptive model we illustrate the positive feedback between food insecurity, low
productivity in production and inequalities in food distribution.
Under these assumptions multiple steady states of the population
distribution may result that differ from each other in the share
of food-insecure people.
