About

Latif Dramani is a Professor of Economics and Econometrics at the University of Thiès, Senegal. He is also the Coordinator of the Regional Consortium for Generational Economics Research (CREG) and the Center for Research in Economics and Applied Finance (CREFAT) in Thiès, Senegal. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar, Senegal. 

His research focuses on the issue of sustainable development through the prism of the Demographic Dividend and the Generational Economy program; poverty dynamics; unpaid household work and women’s contribution to GDP; and the national and local integration of economies.

The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) in Rostock is one of the leading demographic research centers in the world. It's part of the Max Planck Society, the internationally renowned German research society.
