1:00 PM: Talk with Marcus Ebeling - Of Pioneers and Laggards: Diseases, Health and Mortality in High-Income Countries

Abstract

High-income countries have been unevenly successful in keeping pace on the path to increased longevity. Some countries have been persistent longevity pioneers, others have been persistent laggards, and some have even moved from laggard to pioneer over time. This talk aims to provide an overview on how much countries lag behind the current frontier of longevity. The second part of the talk will delve deeper into the relationship between disease, health and mortality in two countries to shed some light on why they are pioneers and laggards.

LabTalk, April, 1st from 1 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Rostock time)
