3rd Human Fertility Database Symposium

The Max Planck Institute of Demography (MPIDR) and the Vienna Institute of Demography (VID) jointly invite contributions to the 3rd Human Fertility Database (HFD) Symposium entitled "Fertility across time and space: Data and Research Advances". The Symposium takes place December 5th to 7th in Vienna, Austria. Deadline for abstract submission is June 1.

This conference aims to build on the expanding data availability and contribute to methodological and empirical advances in fertility research. We encourage submissions on fertility trends, their variation, components and driving forces, as well as on methods, data and indicators in fertility research. Research based on the Human Fertility Database and the Human Fertility Collection is especially welcome.

There are no participation fees, but the participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Please find more information about the event on the website of the Symposium.

The Human Fertility Data Project is a joint project of the MPIDR and the VID, aiming to provide free and user-friendly access to a variety of fertility data. The Project consists of two companion databases, based at the MPIDR in Rostock, Germany: the Human Fertility Database (www.humanfertility.org) and the Human Fertility Collection (www.fertilitydata.org).
