Emilio Zagheni New EAPS Council Vice-President

MPIDR Director Emilio Zagheni started his two-year term as Vice-President of the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS) Council. As President-elect he will serve as President for another two years starting in 2024.

EAPS is a non-profit, professional organization which promotes research on population issues. As an international and interdisciplinary forum for population studies, EAPS has a special focus on Europe.

The EAPS council is responsible for the scientific program of EAPS and administers the affairs of the association. The council consists of five elected members, including the President, the Vice-President and the Secretary-General/Treasurer. The President, Vice-President and Secretary-General/Treasurer are the officers of EAPS and constitute its bureau which represents the association.
