Germany´s future electors

The PhD of former MPIDR researcher Nora Sánchez Gassen has now been published as a book. She looked at the extent to which demographic changes in Germany have an influence on the composition of the electorate.

The book, entitled „Germany´s future electors“, has been published by Springer.

Nora Sánchez Gassen worked at the MPIDR from August 2008 to December 2012. The PhD, completed at the Universität der Bundeswehr, focuses on the development of the electorate in Germany over the past 60 years, followed by an analysis of the extent to which demographic developments are likely to change the size and age structure of the electorate up to 2030.

Today, Nora Sánchez Gassen works as a research scientist at the University of Southampton.
