Max-Planck-India-Fellowship for Nandita Saika

Indian demographer Nandita Saika has been awarded with a Max-Planck-India Fellowship.

Max Planck-India Fellowships are awarded to scientifically outstanding, promising young Indian scientists not older than 35 years. Candidates must hold a doctors degree and will receive a sum of 3,000 EURO per year for up to four years.

The fellowship allows Nandita Saika to visit the MPIDR for up to two months a year. The money might be used as well to participate in international workshops or to fund travel of co-workers.

Nandita Saika was a guest researcher at the Laboratory of Demographic Data of the MPIDR in  2009 and 2010. She was also a student at the International Max Planck Research School for Demography in Rostock (IMPRSD) during the winter semesters 2008-2009 and 2010-2011.
