Why did you decide to work at the MPIDR?

I have been looking for a job that better suits me, and I am pleased to have found it as the Assistant Managing Editor for the journal Demographic Research

What are you particularly looking forward to work at the MPIDR?

I am looking forward to being able to accompany the publication process of scientific texts. I find the idea of being involved in the dissemination of knowledge very fulfilling.

What do you like most about Rostock?

I was born in Rostock, and what I like most about our city is its proximity to the sea, but also the atmosphere in the city center with its colorful historic buildings. The astronomical clock in St. Mary's Church, for example, is also particularly exciting and I always enjoy looking at it.

Professionally, it's all about your organizational skills. What are you most passionate about besides that?

I like to spend my free time with my son on playgrounds. Otherwise, I like to browse in bookstores because I love to read. And I'm very enthusiastic about movies of all kinds, from Charlie Chaplin to Quentin Tarantino, I always have a movie recommendation ready.

The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) in Rostock is one of the leading demographic research centers in the world. It's part of the Max Planck Society, the internationally renowned German research society.
