Rostock Demographic Colloquium 2004

The Rostock Demographic Colloquium is a joint activity of the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research and the Faculty of Business Administration, Economics, and Social Sciences at the University of Rostock. The purpose of the Colloquium is to serve as a forum for presentations on current research in demography and related disciplines. It aims at promoting interdisciplinary discussions on the economic, social, and political causes and consequences of demographic change. The Winter Semester 2004/05 focuses in the main on geographical and anthropological approaches to population studies. The Colloquium also contains a series of presentations on the topic "Demography and Conflict".
