The Süßmilch Lecture Series in 2008/2009

The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research has started a new series of lectures. Named after Johan Peter Süßmilch, one of the founders of demography, the series is dedicated to presenting outstanding findings in the field of population studies that are expected to make a difference in the debate of the discipline. Usually on a Tuesday in the middle of every month from 4 to 5:30 p.m., but on a different day if appropriate, the lecture will be given by a research scientist at the Institute or a prominent visitor.
