Jisu holds a Ph.D in Data Science from Scuola Normale Superiore in Italy.

She is a research scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) working on exploring and establishing novel methods to improve relevant statistics of international migration using big data. Her main research interests are on International (human) Migration, Computational Complex and Social Systems focused on Big Data analytics, Economic Networks, and Data Science.

She is also a member of the Complex Systems Society council since 2021.
