Project

Analyzing Male Fertility: Toward a Comparative Approach

Conducted by Mikko Myrskylä; Christian Dudel, Mathias Lerch, Kieron Barclay; in Collaboration with Jessica Nisén (University of Helsinki, Finland), Sebastian Klüsener (Federal Institute for Population Research, Wiesbaden, Germany), Martin Kolk (Stockholm University, Sweden)

The project shows that there is considerable variation in the differences between male and female fertility across countries and over time. This applies to both the quantum and the timing of fertility. The project also develops and evaluates approaches to improve the data on male fertility, which is currently deficient.  Detailed Description
